Entry page will open on May 1st and close on July 31st (JST).
Please make sure that your works will be created under the current application guideline and following points;

Size of entry sheets
Entry sheets must be A3 in size (297mm x 420mm).

Free Presentation
In free presentation sheet, you are free to use any character size and to set any way you want. However, names of entrants, their membership organizations and typefaces should not be appeared in the sentence. Using the existing typefaces is also prohibited.

How do I submit a font family?
We will accept 1 weight as 1 work(entry). In cases where you are planning to submit a font family, please obtain Work ID for each weight(or style).
At your entry page, you can add some descriptions about your typeface. If you have other related work(s), please put its ID and name.
(e.g., This typeface was designed as a part of a family typeface. The family consists of LA0XXXXX or “name of a family” and LA1XXXXX or “name of a family”.)

How do I choose black color?
Your entry works will be printed for the screening meeting.
In Application Guideline(page 9), the format is set as:
0-4 Blank Space must be white and typeface color must be black only
To make preparation for judgement be proceeded smoothly, please refrain the use of RGB or CMY, and use K100% only. Please check that a halftone dot does not occur in your printed work.

Do you accept my handwriting?
Yes. Please check out page 9 of Application Guideline:
0-7 Scanned image must have resolution of at least 600 dpi. This is necessary to ensure that quality of entries can be fairly judged.

In Kanji Category, is Latin alphabet necessary to create?
[Only for Kanji Category] The alphabet letters is optional, not required, in Morisawa Award and People’s Choice. However, all letters including the alphabet are necessary for Akashi Award.
