Intention of the work
Modern typeface design is influenced by a number of existing norms and therefore tends to have fixed aesthetic standards. As far back as ancient Egypt, simple symbols and shapes were already used as efficient communication tools. The uniqueness of the Egyptian Hieroglyphs (古埃及體) lies in the fact that they were formed by disassembling brush strokes and combining symbols and figures, as well as adopting ancient Egyptian elements, such as animals and human-like brush strokes. This design aims to break through traditional restrictions and expand the audience’s space of imagination.
