Intention of the work
The Alinsect typeface (異蟲體) illustrates a story of extraterrestrial life secretly invading Earth. They gradually transform into new forms of insects over time without being noticed by humans.
This design is a fusion of the fluidity of extraterrestrial life and the traits of insects on Earth, demonstrating their adaptability. It also depicts how extraterrestrial life would fit into the Earth’s ecosystem, while highlighting the connections between various life forms in space.
Winner’s Comment
I am very glad to have come in second prize in the Fan Favorite. The support I received in the fan vote meant a lot to me, and was very encouraging by the fact that you all liked my work. I will continue to work hard to create even more wonderful fonts in the future.
Finally, I would like to express my special thanks to the animation team at Pixar, creators of the film A Bug’s Life, as the inspiration I gained from this animation helped me to design the Alinsect (異蟲體) typeface.
