We are thrilled to announce that the submission for Morisawa Type Design Competition 2019 is now open – and will close on 31st January 2019 in Japan time.

Please register at this website before you submit your works.
The application guideline is available at here.
Submitted designs must conform to the format specifications for the respective category.
No entry fee is charged.

There are three categories that you can enter: Morisawa Award, People’s choice and Akashi Award.
Please note that we accept different files in Morisawa Award and Akashi Award.
The entry works for Morisawa Award can be registered to People’s Choice. Entry to the People’s Choice is optional.

Family typeface (Morisawa Award)
Regarding the family typeface, we would like to ask you to obtain multiple IDs from the “submit family” button as many as the number of styles you create.
We will accept 1 weight (or style) as 1 work (entry). Please obtain the ID for each weight.
