We will hold an event “Morisawa x GINZA TSUTAYA BOOKS Type Design Discovery” at GINZA TSUTAYA BOOKS from September 4 to September 8.

In this event, we will introduce the award-winning works, out of more than 800 entry works of the Morisawa Type Design Competition 2019 as well as the 30 years of the history of the competition and its stories behind.

The exhibition shows the wining works of Morisawa Type Design Competition 2019 as well as focusing on the fonts that came alive from the past competitions and follows the thirty years of the history of the competition. Also, we present the working process of Morisawa fonts and actual equipment, tools, and original drawings.

As you enter the exhibition, the installation of the letters that cover the ceiling of the hall will welcome you. Please enjoy the five days of the show to explore the moments to feel the world of letters.

Our original goods “Morisawa Type Products” are available at the event. This is one of our project to produce our fonts and Japanese handcraft.
