Morisawa Type Design Competition 2019 is now closed with the great support of everyone. This year, we received 813 entry works from 53 countries (258 works for Japanese category, 555 works for Latin category). And sixteen works had won awards, for all four categories including the Morisawa award.

We held an awards ceremony and a special lecture by Masahiko Kozuka on September 3, 2019, at Kanda Myojin Hall, Tokyo. And after the lecture, we had a most wonderful time to talk about the future of type at the reception with the juries, award winners, and many of our guests.
